Born in Greece, she moved to the UK when she was 16 and studied economics at Cambridge, where she was the first foreign and third female President of the Cambridge Union.
Arianna moved to New York in 1980, at the age of 30, where she joined BBC1's late night talk and entertanment show Saturday Night At The Mill. HuffPost was launched in 2005 and sold to AOL in 2011, making Arianna editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post Media Group.
In 2016, she stepped down from her role to devote time to Thrive Global, her health and wellness startup on a mission to end the stress and burnout epidemic through science based solutions.
Arianna is also the author of 15 books, her latest release being Thrive and The Sleep Revolution, where she emphasizes the qualities and the necessity of sleep. She also did a college tour to educate young people on the importance of sleep, using some methods that would certainly grab the attention of teenagers, such as showing them the connection between sleep deprivation and erectile dysfunction.
