Michelle Obama's memoir is divided into three parts, Becoming Me, Becoming Us and Becoming More. Part one covers her early years on Chicago's South Side, where she shared a bedroom with her brother Craig and took her first piano lessons, then Princeton, Harvard Law School and Sidley Austin, the firm where she first met Barack Obama. Part two follows their marriage, the start of his political career and her move from corporate law to the non-profit world while raising two daughters. Part three covers the White House years and her Let's Move campaign. Within 15 days of release it had become the top-selling book of 2018 in the United States.
Barack Obama admitted he is a little biased as her husband, but said it tells a quintessentially American story and captures the woman he has loved for so long.
