Richard Branson BooksThere’s a lot of people out there who think that Richard Branson’s photo should be in the dictionary, under the word “entrepreneur”. And that’s not surprising at all, considering we’re talking about a man that was knighted at Buckingham Palace for “services to entrepreneurship”.

Sir Richard Branson started his business ventures running the Student magazine where he interviewed several celebrities, including Mick Jagger. Using the magazine’s popularity, he started selling records under the name “Virgin”. After successfully starting a record shop in London, using that money he launched Virgin Records, which later became the world’s largest independent record label.

Listing all of Branson’s businesses would probably take forever since the parent company, Virgin Group, controls more than 400 companies. Among the most prominent ones are Virgin Atlantic Airways (launched in 1984), Virgin Mobile (1999) and Virgin Galactic (2004).

Since he’s everywhere in the media, Richard Branson also talked about books often. He has stated several times non-fiction books had a lot of influence on his life. Among his favorites, he has listed books such as Nelson Mandela‘s Long Walk to Freedom and Al Gore‘s An Inconvenient Truth.

He is also a prolific author, writing no less than 7 books since 1998. You can see all the books recommended or written by him below.
